Walkabout Outdoor creates landscapes and garden destinations designed to evoke awe and wonder, while fostering a vibrant, connected life. Our landscapers and stonemasons play a vital role in bringing these visions to life through skilled installation and time-honored craftsmanship.

This is a hands-on position focused on installing custom landscapes, stonework, carpentry elements, and naturalistic gardens. You’ll work closely with field managers and crew members to deliver high-quality, site-responsive work.

You will:

• Install landscapes, gardens, stone features, and carpentry elements
• Construct dry-stacked walls, steps, landings, and custom stonework
• Perform grading, drainage, and site preparation
• Plant trees, shrubs, and perennials; prepare garden beds
• Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and vehicles
• Communicate progress, needs, and issues with crew leads

Requirements

Key Skills

• Stone setting and shaping (dry-stack, reclaimed stone preferred)
• Grading, drainage, and site preparation
• Outdoor carpentry experience a plus
• Equipment operation (skid steer, excavator, trucks, trailers)
• Strong work ethic, focus, and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Experience in custom landscape or stone construction
• Understanding of site conditions (soil, drainage, light, plant needs)
• Ability to lift 70 lbs. and work outdoors in varying conditions
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
