Since 1928 Sargent’s Nursery has been beautifying Red Wing and surrounding communities! Satisfaction runs deep in the roots of every plant grown and in every customer served. The full service and beautiful garden center is one of the top destinations in the state.
Sargent’s Nursery is also the premier provider of Landscape Design and Installation and has proven time and again that the outdoor spaces around our homes ought to be just as beautiful and enjoyable as the spaces within.

Company History
We owe our longevity to the wonderful and talented horticulturists who have managed our business throughout most of the 20th century, as well as our loyal and new customers who keep us going strong into the 21st!
It all began in 1928 when the nature of the business was to sell bare root shrubs and trees in the spring. and sell fruits and vegetables in the summer and fall. Over the last 9 decades the nursery has expanded a great deal. The landscape department has operated as a design and installation service for 50 years. That's a great deal of history that has developed our methods and techniques for successful installations. We maintain a high standard of ethics and quality and therefore have immense customer satisfaction. The garden center has developed into a welcoming space that offers top quality plant material, gardening supplies, décor and more.
